The best place to know the essence of Buenos Aires is living in San Telmo. One of the oldest and attractive neighbourhoods in the city due to its history, arquitecture, cobble stoned streets, antique shops, markets, entertainment, bars and restaurants.

I lived in this place for six months. I had an excellent experience both with the neighborhood and the apartment. The location is perfect: very close to buses and the subT, perfect distance from one of the most famous plazas in the city, and great for going out to bars and restaurants. Apart from being historically and aesthetically appealing, San Telmo has a vibe about it that can not be found in Palermo, Recoleta, or Downtown.
This apartment is a great place to stay for a couple days or an extended stay. Juan and his brother, Nico are great guys and very attentive in assisting in any way possible.
Overall I couldn't have hoped for a better place to spend my time in the BA.
